According to the latest PANTONE trend report and colour focus, blue is the colour with gorgeous smokey greys and blues taking centre stage in interiors, fashion and makeup colour palettes.
According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute™ , “Blue skies represent constancy, as they are always above us. Greys give a feeling of stability.”
The new trend for blue lipstick is a direct result of this and while you may or may not be up for making yourself look like a character out of Avatar, blue is one of the focus colours for eyes. Blue greys are ‘Cool and calming, strong and stable’. They exude ‘vibrancy and sophistication, while maintaining a sense of constancy’.
